About Me.
I grew up in small-town Alberta, moving to Edmonton in 2011 to take a Bachelors of Music in Composition at MacEwan University. During that time I worked in restaurants, played in bands, learned a bit about photography, and started doing graphic design for my musical projects, which meant mainly posters and promotional material.
Since then, I've worked primarily as a music teacher and freelance graphic designer, spending some time as the in-house graphic designer and Marketing Coordinator at Grindstone Theatre. My work has appeared in print and digital formats on billboards, apparel, websites, flyers, car decals, in magazines, and on social media accounts of all kinds.
Skills & Education
2011 - 2015
Bachelors of Music (Composition)
MacEwan University
I attended MacEwan directly after finishing high school, studying music composition with trumpet as my principle instrument. I learned a mix of musical, artistic, and business skills over the course of my degree that helped shape the professional I am today.
2016 - Present
Private Music Instructor
Contract & Freelance
Over the years, I have taught private music lessons to people of all experience levels, ages 4 to adult, full-time and part-time. In the past, I have worked with Resonate, Prime School of Music, Planet Music, and Long & McQuade.
Teaching music is work I'm grateful I get to do; playing and talking about music with students is one of my favourite activities, and it keeps me sharp as well as humble.
